Poe Elementary School Music

Welcome back Poe students to the 2011-2012 school year. My name is Mrs. Hoyt and I am the Poe Elementary School music teacher and choir director. This year is going to be an exciting year for music. I will be giving updates on what is happening in music class across grade levels located on the blog. You can also get to this blog by clicking on the blog button on the top right hand corner of this screen.

Each child first through fifth grade comes to music class twice a week for a half hour. We cover the National Music Standards combined with the district wide concept based music curriculum.

You will be able to find on this site information about music class updates, music concert dates, chorus rehearsals, important reminders, permission slips for various music related activities, and educational websites.
